Water treatment & filtration equipment

Various processes within the water and wastewater treatment industry require water flow to be maintained at a constant rate. BT-Maric Flow Controllers limit or maintain a constant flow irrespective of pressure differential fluctuations in water and filtration equipment.

Here are some examples:

  • Controlling backwash flow rate in a media filter is one of the more common applications. BT-Maric flow controllers prevent the excessive lifting of the media bed, which eliminates the risk of losing media out to waste – and allows for flexibility in design of equipment e.g. selection of pumps. Back-wash flow rate control – for preventing media loss.
  • Control of flow rate through other parts of the installation also benefit from being limited or maintain, for example -certain delicate filter membranes capture their optimum amount of contaminants when water velocity through them is limited. It can also prevent damage e.g. rupture or coning of the membranes. Optimized flow rate control through delicate filters.
  • Chlorine concentration measuring equipment must be fed with a constant flow of water to it, in order to maintain accuracy of the reading. BT-Maric Flow Control valves are regularly used for this purpose, typically at around 0.5 Litres per minute.
  • Control trickle flow to water quality analysing equipment.
  • UV-sterilisation – controlled speed = controlled bacteria kill.
  • Chemical dosing flow rate control.
  • Limiting maximum flow of treated industrial waste into the sewer system
  • Reverse Osmosis water treatment equipment requires a constant flow in many of it’s processes

BT-Maric constant flow valves can be used in many industries with challenging environement. To know more about the different body valves material and control rubber joint, you can dowload our brochure or order our catalogue.
